장원철 | 대학원 화학과(천) (자연과학1관)
교수소개
1985년 단국대학교 화학과를 졸업하고 1990년 미국 University of Southern Mississippi 대학교에서 이학박사학위를 취득하였다. 박사학위 논문주제는 "A Study of the Pathways of Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics of Sulfamerazine in Penaeus Shrimp" 이다. 1993년 4월부터 1995년 2월까지 한국화학연구소 안전성연구센터 약물동력학실에서 근무하면서 천연물 분리 및 의약품의 약리대사 및 활성도를 측정하여 안전성 여부를 관찰하는 연구를 하였으며 1995년 3월 첨단과학부 교수로 취임하였다.
대외적으로는 1999. 01 ~ 2001. 08까지 산학기술성공학회의 편집이사로 활동하였으며 1999. 09월 ~ 2001. 02월까지 첨단과학부 화학전공 주임교수를 맡았다. 2000. 10 ~ 2005. 09 까지 중소기업협력단장 및 생명공학창업보육센터 와 산학연컨소시엄 센터 소장을 역임하였으며 2003. 09 ~ 2005. 06까지 산학협력단 부단장을 맡아 활동하고 있다. 최근에는 2010. 09 ~ 2013. 09까지 충남 테크노파크 원장직을 역임하였다.
연구분야는 백서에 여러 가지 방법으로 산화적 손상을 주었을 때 관찰되는 Eicosanoids 및 대사체 변화에 관한 연구를 진행하였다.
현재 진행중인 연구는 의과대학 임상 교수진과 암조직에서의 돌연변이 검색방법에 관한 연구와 알츠하이머와 연관된 유전적 마커 및 다형성 연구를 진행하고 있다. 그리고 바이오 센서 개발에 필요한 특이 질병의 유전적 다형성에 관한 contents 를 구축하고 있고 다양한 분자 생물학적 실험을 기반으로 동물, 식물, 미생물 등 여러 분야에 대하여 연구하고 있다.
