교수소개

주된 연구 관심사는 세포내 세포골격의 재구성 및 변화 (cytoskeletal dynamics)이며 actin과 actin-binding proteins들 대하여 연구를 하였습니다. 또한 완전히 분화된 평활근 세포에서 표현형의 변화를 통해서 수축형에서 생산형으로의 혈관평활근 세포의 변화 (Phenotypic modulation)에 대하여 관심을 가지고 있으며 표현형의 변화를 통한 혈관관련 질환을 연구하고 있습니다. 혈관을 구성하고 있는 평활근세포와 내피세포간의 신호전달과 기계자극감작 (mechanosensitive) 신호전달에 중요한 역할을 담당하는 Integrin 수용체에 관한 연구에 관심을 가지고 있습니다. 전자기장의 생체에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 통해서 전자파의 생체영향에 대한 연구를 하고 있습니다.

교육철학

지식의 전달에 있어서 많은 분량을 전달해야 하는 특성의 과목과 이를 전달 받은 학생의 입장에서 균형을 잃지 않도록 노력하며 특히 학생과 밀접한 관계 형성을 통해서 전달하려는 지식을 효율적으로 전하고 학생들의 요구사항을 적극적으로 반영하도록 노력하는 것이 중요하다고 생각합니다. 어려운 사제관계보다는 지적세계의 동료로서 학생들을 대하고 싶습니다.
